TOMATO VARIETIES: Chadwick’s Cherry - Heavily laden vines produce large sized cherry tomatoes with really rich, full tomato flavor. Heirloom favorite of Alan Chadwick, a true Grand Master of sustainable, organic techniques in the U.S. Large vines are disease resistant.
Cherokee Purple - Consistently ranks very high in taste tests, this tomato has a rich, dark color and unmatched sweet, rich taste on sandwiches or in salads. The heirloom tomato is a beautiful dusky pink with a deep, rich-red interior and produces well.
Cosmonaut Volkav – Originally from Dnepropetrovsk in Ukraine. Sturdy, productive, cool-weather tolerant with rich, full-bodied flavor. These tomatoes are deep red, slightly flattened 8–12 ounce globes, excellent for juice, slicing or salads.
Gardener’s Delight Cherry - This old German heirloom boasts many clusters of 6 to 12 cherry tomatoes all summer long. It's indeterminate, crack resistant and very prolific. Proven tops for performance, flavor and wide adaptability.
Golden Jubilee - Like sunshine in the garden, this tomato is bright and golden with firm texture. Mild, low-acid flavor makes excellent tomato juice, sauce, and salsa. Small seed cavities mean fewer seeds and more solid, meaty slices perfect for sandwiches and salads. Expect high yields of these 3" delights. Disease resistant.
Japanese Black Trifele - A truly transcendent tomato. Pear-shaped fruit has green-streaked shoulders, deepening to a burnished mahogany and finally to a darkened, nearly black base. The meaty interior has a complex and rich flavor to match. The fruit reach 2 ½–3 inches long and wide and are very crack-resistant. Indeterminate, potato-leafed plants.
Lida Ukrainian – This tomato is a family heirloom that was brought to America by Ukrainian immigrants prior to the 1920s. Determinate, regular leaf plant is a great producer of medium-sized red, meaty fruits, with one of a kind, robust, old-time flavors!
Lucky Tiger - Elongated 2-inch fruit comes in stunning, jewel-toned shades of green and red, with hints of gold. This tomato gets top marks for flavor: tangy, sweet and complex with tropical notes and balanced acidity. An amazing snacking tomato!
Mamie Brown’s Pink - Large, pink beefsteak type with a perfect sweet/acid flavor balance. Indeterminate and very productive!
Martian Giant - A open pollinated tomato that rivals the hybrids. Bushy plants produce bright scarlet red, big and juicy, 8-10 oz fruit. Flavor is balanced and excellent. The yield can be a little late but is very high.
Oxheart - Huge fruits, weighing up to 3 lbs.; its flavor is exceptional and its texture is dense and multi-layered with heart-like flaps and cavities. Great for sauce or salsa or fresh eating!
Pineapple - Very large fruits, up to 2 lbs each. These yellow tomatoes have red marbling through the flesh and are incredibly beautiful – they have very sweet, fruity flavor and good yields!
Plum Regal - Medium-size plants with good leaf cover produce high yields of blocky, 4 oz. plum tomatoes. Fruits have a deep red color with good flavor and excellent resistance to diseases and blossom end rot.
Principe Borghese - Determinate. This Italian heirloom is famous for sun drying. Small 1-to 2-oz, grape-shaped fruit is very dry and has few seeds. It has a rich tomato taste that is wonderful for sauces. Vines yield clusters of fruit in abundance!
Red Brandywine - This great-tasting heirloom tomato dates back to the late 1800s! Large-lobed, beefsteak-shaped tomatoes have a thin, pinkish-red skin and are perfect for slicing. Very vigorous, so best if staked or caged.
Red Pride – Determinate. An excellent garden performer that stays shorter than most other tomato plants and produces large, deep oblate red fruit with a good blossom end. Strong, vigorous plants with good foliar disease resistance
San Marzano Paste - Famous for its use in Neapolitan pizza and other Italian dishes. Long Roma-type tomatoes, 3-4 oz fruits with pointed ends. Thick, low acid flesh contains few seeds. Very productive 6 ft. tall plants have good disease resistance. Excellent canning variety.
Tasmanian Chocolate Cherry - Strong-yielding, short, sturdy vines bear heavy crops of beautiful, plump, mahogany red faintly striped tomatoes with delicious, well-balanced flavor. A perfect variety to grow in containers or small space gardens. Tasmanian chocolate tomatoes are heavy for their size, extra juicy and perfect for BLTs or sliced for salads.
Two Tasty Hybrid – A delicious two-bite cherry tomato. Bicolor skin hints at the flavor synergy: sweet rich-red and savory purple-black combine to give you a new third flavor. Harvest clusters of round 1½-2" tomatoes with firm texture and juicy but dripless interiors. Two much goodness, indeed!
Veranda Red Hybrid - This little powerhouse pumps out a huge and ongoing harvest of the sweetest little cherry tomatoes. Just pick as needed. The dwarf plant, only about a foot high and wide, is ideal for your sunny deck, balcony, patio, or even for growing as a windowsill houseplant.
OTHER (non-tomato) SEEDLINGS:
Blue Flax – Also known as Lewis Flax or Prairie Flax, Blue Flax is a beautiful blue flowering perennial California native. It likes sunny, dry areas and self-seeds freely.
Borage - An easy, fast-growing, annual herb with vivid blue flowers with the flavor and scent of cucumbers. While it is considered an herb, it's often grown as a plant to entice pollinators to the vegetable garden. The edible blue flowers make a lovely, colorful addition to salads.
Coast Aster - A pollinator magnet, attracting native butterflies and bees with its sweet 2” lavender, daisy-like prolific blooms from summer through fall. Grows to a bushy 2’ tall and wide, it spreads over time. Thrives in any sunny spot and it can take most soil types, including clay!
Cucumbers: Spring Burpless - These long, slender cukes offer a crisp, mild, bitter-free and burpless bite all season long. Firm and easy to peel, they should reach 8 to 12 inches long in no time. For straight fruit, stake them on a support, or if you like the look of curly cukes, let them grow on the ground, where they'll twist up.
Lemon Balm - a member of the mint family, Lemon Balm is considered a calming herb and is used to reduce stress and anxiety, promote sleep, improve appetite, and ease pain and discomfort from indigestion. It can spread, but is easy to keep controlled. Has a wonderful, lemon-y scent and makes a lovely tea!
Salad Burnet - grown for both its edible leaves and its medicinal properties, Salad Burnet offers a clean, cucumber-like flavor that’s a lovely addition to salads. An easy-growing plant that self-seeds and holds up well in the heat.
Strawberries – These seedlings are of mixed varieties and all will produce incredibly delicious berries!
Sweet Tea Vine - One of the world’s most important tonic herbs, sweet tea vine contains twice as many ginsenoid saponins as ginseng. It is said to strengthen the immune and nervous system, improve circulation, stimulate the liver and lower cholesterol.
Yarrow – A perennial California native, yarrow was known for its use in staunching the flow of blood from wounds. It was also used for pain relief, fever reduction, and blood issues of all kinds. The flowers of this variety are light pink or white.
